Description
I wanted to try something new so I just colored with an opacity over the image to show my shadows underneath instead of shadowing the whole thing after making lines. Good? Bad? Don't ever attempt that again? What do you guys think?

Definitely attempt again. I like the look of the piece, especially after seeing the original pencils. There is a feeling of fantastic realism present that I think the chosen technique captures well. I especially like the the way the colour of the Hatter's face seems to enhance his expression.
Given the chosen technique of colouring with the lower opacity I think that enhancing the pencils would really help the piece pop. The shadows could be stronger in some places, like on the March Hare's vest for example, to better give the colour something better to grip onto and add to the realism of the piece. The way the Hatter's arm cuts off seems a bit odd. Next time, try moving the art a bit more to the right
Overall I really like this one! It's different from what you have done and I like that you took the risk. It really payed off here. Great job on the colour selections as well. Everyone definitely has there own presence yet compliments the others at the same time.
